Kapiti Island
Beautiful Kapiti Island, a nature reserve off the coast of NZ near Wellington. I had the good fortune to spend a day here observing the nature/birds. I took lots of photos and this is drawn from one of those images. I loved the light coming through the canopy and the abstract image shapes it created.
The drawing is in oil pastel and graphite. I love using Sennelier pastels, for me they are easy and soft enough to work with.
