Driftwood

Drawing of driftwood on Queen Elizabeth Bay, NZ. My 1st attempt at drawing driftwood using oil pastels. Quite a challenge especially the foreground which was a sea of shells 🐚. I particularly liked this image because it looked like a free standing sculpture.

NZ beaches or the ones I've seen are covered with driftwood on almost deserted beaches.

I wanted the challenge of drawing this image with Sennelier oil pastels, which are soft and it's like drawing in oil paints but in a stick.
