Forest

I needed to get out of my comfort zone and get back into the studio after some time away! It felt great 😀👍. chose a photo I took from an awesome walk I went on to raise funds for a church. Walked through the woods to the river, where we then walked along rivers edge (expect some river drawings).

I started the drawing by applying gesso 1st to create texture before applying gouache as base colour followed by drawing with graphite and oil pastel. Loved the freedom. maybe could be more experimental and work larger but I love sitting at the table, listening to music and shutting out the world for a short time😀🤪.
